Going knotty.

#1 Post by rodlonq » Sat Oct 20, 2012 7:38 pm

Today I was struggling with my binos harness and camel pack trying to get it all together and ready for a quick unload if the conditions warranted it. What a bloody mess. Anyway I soon realised my camel pack straps have some good solid D- rings on the front right where you'd want to hang your binos from. I reckoned I could just adapt the little clips that attach the binos to the harness with a bit of chord and be done with it. After ratting through the parachord thingys box I found enough gear to do the job proper justice. Instead of just tying a strand of chord between the D-ring and the harness adaptors, I spent an hour getting a bit flash with cobra knots and such. They are overbuilt by at least a factor of 100 but they are a lot more compact than the Bushnell harness. The pictures tell the rest of the story and I have to bolt...............

Cool mate, I like to see this kind of thinking.
