It seems the hunting has started early this year as we didn't get much of a wet season at all and its drying up fast.
An order from a mate up at Cairns who shoots a recurve and is off to the cape.

Douglas Firs (yes again) There heavy and tough.
11/32's 65-70lb
Stained dark maple, clear finish
Crested white, dark green, red, silver, black.
Fletched 5inch banana white, cock feather spliced white, trad barred green with red strip.
Tipped again with 160grn Tusker Aztecs
Total weight 650grn's.

Hope he gets a few. A few pics.

I hope' Old Silver' (Steveo) likes his new set as his away with work at the moment and hasn't layed eyes on them yet. There is something out of character in this set see if you can spot the difference.

Beautiful work as always! I couldn't bear to smash 'em up myself! Somehow all my gnarliest shafts end up as my hunting arrows which is probably why I miss so much! couldn't see the difference.

Bill you where pretty close as well. These are the first 1/2 Doz with the right cock feather to suit the cresting. I did the last 6 with the green splice as Steve uses them in ABA rounds and they are easier to see and find when a way ward shot comes along. Nothing better then making arrows for good friends.

Okay that's it for a while the racks full and the misses is sick of feather offcutts clogging up the carpet. Will just have to start braking a few I recone.

Until next time

Cheers Wayno.
