Finished another one
Another one finished , this one is 68" nock to nock , 16" riser and I suspect some where around 38# to 40# at 28" of draw , will have to wait until I go visit Rod again to weigh it , seems to shoot nice
Riser is Kwila with a Vertical lamination of Tulip wood , Black Glass , tips are Kwila and Tulip wood , Laminations are Vertical Coffee Bamboo and tulip wood , depending on how it weighs out it may be the new Bow for Bretts Son

Nice Dave, get your self some fishing scales from Kmart to weigh your bows, most go up to 55#.
Where do you get those tiny buckets to rest the bow on? Steve

That's very nice indeed. That Kwila comes up alright, hey? I really like the pointed tips, too.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Thanks guys , just got back , picked up a set of digital scales from BCF , $37 and go up to 88#
Rod the only reason I've only been making bows up to 55# is because I haven't been asked for any thing heavier
Actually had a bit of disaster some weeks back , now I've been keeping careful notes on all the bows I've made , I put down riser length and height , the number of laminations , what they are made of and their thickness , what they come out at and general impressions of the bows and that materials the tips are of , I write this down on a new sheet of paper for each one and put it on a clipboard on the wall of the workshop , seems we has some strong winds at some stage when the shed was open but I was down at a mates place and didn't notice that amongst all the stuff that was blown about when I got back all my notes were gone , found them when I was walking around the yard a week or two later after several rains , all gone , only got a few basic notes I scribbled on the edge of the bench , have to start again
