Accents underglass

Hi ppls,
i was wandering if any of you have ever tried doing this before

and if so how do you do it without them sliding everywhere on the glue up

Hi Moss
The normal way to do it is to glue up a block with the pattern in it then you cut veneers off it. This way the pattern is all glued together and can not slide about.

I do that on every bow I make now, I just did some today. As Graeme said they are made and glued up in one black and the cut and ground as a normal single lamination. Normally they are very thin and add very little poundage to the finished bow. You have to be very crefull they are not too thin as they will split under the clamping pressure, even if you are using a hose...Glenn...
