Hi All,
I haven't been here for a while... busy playing with an ILF recurve instead of my trad gear.
My brother rescued this old girl from the tip and I told him to send me a pic to see if I could identify it, but have to admit, it's got me stuffed, especially the limb alignment system.
Can anyone help with an identity for this old riser?
Cheers & thanks,
Paul.

It looks like an old compound riser.

Re: Any help identifying this?
Looks like a 1982 Bear Kodiak Magnum compound riser.
Re: Any help identifying this?
I think 82 is about the right year, but it looks like a Brown Bear Compound Riser.

They where pretty nice in there day. I had a 82# Peak Weight Bear Grizzly 2 Compound back about then and 2 Bearcat Takedown Recurves. One was 45# and one 55# and a 60# Hoyt Pro Hunter
I'd be looking for a set of cheapo Recurve Limbs to Bolt on to it. Maybe as you have an ILF Bow already buy some ILF Fittings, they are quite cheap. I have a ancient Timber Compound Riser that I have reworked and am going to modify a set of Recurve Limbs to fit.
regards Perry

Re: Any help identifying this?
Thanks for all the replies
It didn't even dawn on me that it could be an old compound riser... which is funny as I'm from the era of wooden compounds!!!
Perry... My thought was exactly that it could be an ilf warf project if all else fails.
Cheers & thanks,
Paul
