Cheap Shot

#1 Post by RobHunter » Sat Jul 08, 2017 2:02 pm

Hi all

Was down the road from Ozbow today and bought something to try out. 125gr High tech Polymer broadheads.
10 pack for $19. Only avail in screw in ( I did buy some tusker glue ons), so for carbons. As I lose arrows when hunting
I was looking for a cheaper alternative. Youtube has demos. They are rather large. Be interesting!!

I gave them a run not very impressed at all.
The shank was to narrow and didn't fit snugly in the insert resulting in an offset.

Yes Stu

I also found that at 20-25m is a slight wind they were very hard to place accurately.

They fit securely on my shafts, but seem to drift alot. I will use them for close range ie within 15m.

Reviews in the field are they are mainly one shot, chipping on impact, but mine stayed intact after hitting

the ground and a one in a tree.

I'm gonna try old style metal tie on Broadheads as I have moved mainly to wooden shafts now.
