Hi guys,
Interested to know how guys out there align their broadheads on the shaft; is there a problem with basically having it parallel to the ground or should it be vertical like a rudder.
I pland to have mine horizontal; ie parrallel with the ground so to speak but would like to hear from all you good folk as to if its a problem.
Cheers
Ian

Should be shooting helical feathers so the arrows spin in flight... means it makes no difference which way they go on.

If you were making primitive arrows and binding them into a slot in the shaft they would go vertical the same as a nock so the grain is perpendicular to the slot it fits into...

As I gap shoot , I set mine horizontal so that in the heat of the moment hunting I will always use the tip of the broadhead to gap my shot. With a vertical set broadhead you can make the mistake of picking the very edge of the back of the blade and shoot low.

As long as it is aligned with the axis of the shaft have it anyway you like. I prefer mine vertical.

According to some American Indians vertical is for hunting, horizontal is for war. that way it matches the rib cage.
I know the helical fletch will counter act it but the could still be something in it.
