Black Widow PCH-X Limb finish

#1 Post by matt61 » Mon Dec 15, 2014 7:30 pm

Has any one had this issue with the finish on the limbs of their Black Widow.
It looks like lot of little bubbles in the finish on either side of the front of the limbs on both
limbs. The bow was made in 2010.They began to appear over the past year.

Hi Matt,

Have you sent the photograph to Black Widow to get their opinion?

Hard to tell from the photos but it could be just the finish starting to let go. Finishes often look like that when they have not adhered properly and with age they start letting go as opaque round dots. If this was the case you could probably give a dot a light scratch with your fingernail and it would pop off. Hopefully that is the worst case scenario.

Have sent a email to them and got a reply a few days ago from Roger Fulton saying they would need photo's and asking to ring them, so I sent a photo and asked were they are in the US to know what time to ring.
