Flamed Wood arrows

#1 Post by Guy Layton » Wed Sep 03, 2014 8:48 pm

Hi guys,

I thought you may like to have a look at these arrows I have made up for a pending bow arrival...

They are flamed Stika Spruce 55-60# shafts… 5'' Spliced Truflights with 130 grain Blackstumps

They are a little different... but I like them... 8)

Cheers Guy...

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!

The new bow will be very proud shooting them and so should you.

Nice work on the arrows Guy. Can't say I would like to use them though unless I was only shooting white ferals.

Hi Jeff, Yes mate.... I'm sure its going to be interesting to determine if I have placed the arrow in the correct spot or not... And exactly the reason why I normally run white fletches...

I suppose Ill just have too back my shooting... 8)

Cheers Guy...

Hi Joe,

Im hoping the bow comes outs around 57#

Bows around 55-60# seem to get the job done for me...

Cheer Guy

In my opinion Black fletches or red fletches are the best except when trying to see one on a target but with broadheads hunting awesome!

Yeah very nice arrows Guy. I like what you've done with the shaft. How did you do that?

They look nice for shore Guy maybe for the rut with those heads. Blackwidow colours maybe? Hope they all turn out and match the new bow.
