And then last Friday it finally arrived...

Where to source materials etc. Also the place to show off your new bow or quiver etc.... Making things belongs in Traditional Crafts.

And then last Friday it finally arrived...

My second decent recurve, to add to about ten decent longbows etc. A Blacktail Snakebit, 55@28, 64inches. Snakewood/Gaboon Ebony riser. Birds Eye Maple footed with Snakewood veneers over Bamboo limbs. Shot back to back PB's around Wiseman's with it over the weekend. Consequently I'm rather a happy bunny. Norm Johnson really does make a very, very, very nice bow.

I wonder if this addiction will cease.

Had to check out the bowyer's website. Holy crap, there are some nice bows there. Expensive but the materials and craftsmanship are about as good as it gets.

I was lucky enough to get 'on the list' before the prices went up. Still, even at the new prices I reckon they're good value. The level of craftsmanship and detail is remarkable. It shoots beautifully too.

What a beauty Andy, just needs some small scratches and mud and blood to make it perfect.

Cheers... Rod
