It's all Nutgrass'fault!

#1 Post by blu-dog » Fri Aug 31, 2012 9:01 pm

I was a lucky bloke when I met Nutgrass a couple of years ago... not only is he a good mate and hunting buddy - but I also get to blame heaps of stuff on him and his "bad influence", whenever my lovely wife gets a bit "concerned" about my hunting / trad archery obsessions.

After spending several nights in the shed with Nutgrass, drinking a couple of beers and watching him work his magic on some arrow shafts with paint and the Spinrite cresting jig, I decided to bite the bullet and give it a go too... My wonderful mother-in-law bought me the crester for my birthday.

Here's my first attempt...

Sounds good to me... was going to put field tips on them...but broadheads are a better option - If you're keen to go for a wander!!!

Thanks gents...

I feel this could get a little addictive though. I've got 36 more shafts tapered, stained and ready to go. Planning to make 18 target arrows, 6 flu-flus and 12 hunting arrows. All with the same pattern to create a set.
