So you spotted that Chris, Graydon originally wanted the same Purple Gidgee/Lacy Sheoak combo as your bow but I told him I couldn't do that to you,,,, and I try to make all of my bows one-offs so that nobody feels like they have a print and not the original  .
Have you managed to get out and nail something with "Austral Dreaming" yet?

Hey Graydon you don't even look like you are straining in that pic of you at full draw :surprised: .
Man you must have mussels. I reckon it takes about 50# just to string that thing.

Rob.

Yes Rob at least I know I have another 'Original"

I get a good 24 arrows away before I feel my form declining, 24 shots every 2nd day or so and then I will go to 30. So on and so forth, I am not all that strong, I just work on it a little bit at a time

Man that is one smooth bow

Rob-No, haven't gotten anything with her yet, but been out a couple times. Hopefully I make it up to Darwin in April to chase pigs, that would be a proper way to blood AD!

The first time I saw lacy she oak my jaw dropped, it was the most amazing piece of wood I'd ever seen. Right then and there I decided to use some in my bow and set about trying to find some nice pieces. I'm glad the leftovers are being put to good use! Enjoy the new bow, it's a beauty for sure!

The place I bought the lacy she oak is Djarilmari Timber Products in Denmark. http://www.djarilmari.com/ He harvests mostly in the Goldfields and southwest. If a guy is even remotely interested in beautiful timbers, you could spend hours in the warehouse!

Thanks for your kind words guys, and thanks Rob for a very fine bow indeed!!!! I have used it over the weekend and enjoyed every aspect of it.

Sue Wallace also went the extra yard to research the colout for the Ulysses limb covers, I am getting some "Wallace Woods" from Steve so the kit is complete.

No worries! With those 80lb. limbs, I'm looking forward to seeing some pics of you with a dead Brontosaurus, T-rex, or wooly mammoth!

Congratulations on a fine selection of choices there Graydon. The Lacey Sheoak sure is pretty timber.

Well done Rob, the work you put in certainly gets first class results.

Cheers...... Rod

Oh yeah,
That looks awesome. Top job Rob, and Hazard you must be tickled pink.
Nice touch with the names written on the limbs, and that lacy she-oak is a beautiful timber.
Top stuff.

Man what a bow
I ripped off some shots a half an hour ago, the bow is awesome.

I didn't mention Rob even made the knock tips on the limbs longer to allow for the tip to tip stringer to work much more easily. Now that was a stroke of brilliance!

I can honestly say now after using this bow over the last couple of weeks If you are a recurve user and its not a flatline you have nothing!

I own a great Plains , bear grizzlys and over history quite a bit more, not to mention other recurves I have borrowed or shot. The quality let alone the attention to detail exceeds all realms of the mediocrety, I believe Rob offers by far equal to if not better than any import taylor made or otherwise. Sheer Poetry!!!!

I only need 1 bow now!!! Time for a garage sale!
