If anyone can help it would be great.

My brother has decided he would like to start making bows and I was wondering is there a kit available that I could by locally for him for Christmas that could get him started on a basic bow. He is an accomplished wood worker and does very nice work and I think making bows would suit his mindset or drive him nuts  .

If you have any ideas let me know, thanks.

Michael

Not local but Howard Hill Archery or Bingham's are a couple of others.

Only used binghams and john McDonald so far, and found the freight from US is a killer As an example to get just two strips clear glass would have cost $7o+ including freight from Binghams. Joh only supplies glass when ever he gets a big enough order but his prices are very reasonable. John Clarke's prices seem a little higher but I am not aware of freight costs within Australia which need to be added to listed prices.

I made myself a bow using an Ausbow kit. From personal experience I can recommend it as a starter.

My buildalong can be found:

I still shoot it today.
