Timber shafting

#1 Post by Bullwinkle » Thu Apr 15, 2004 9:04 pm

I need to make up some arrows for the Gladstone comp but at the moment I can't find any shafts that I like. I tried Copperhead but they haven't got any in the 80-85# spine I need. I also treid Steve and Ruth and they are having trouble getting that high poundage also. My qeustion for the many out there is do any of you know where I can get some here?

Fenton,

Give Keith Forrester a try on 4123 3797. He had the 23/64" Victorian Ash shafts and he may have a few in that poundage. They will no doubt be heavy in physical weight also. My hunting shafts with 190's weigh around 750 grains.

Thanks Jeff, I want to keep them about the same weight as the carbons I use and they should come with in fifty grains with a one twenty five grain point on them. Are you heading up to the shoot this year, I think at the moment there are about six or seven from here going down.

I should be going but we will wait and see as it gets closer. It's possible that we will continue the weekend by going for a hunt straight after.
