Found a place for Varios.

#1 Post by Nephew » Sun Jul 25, 2010 11:43 am

I had been told that the Vario clipper was no longer available but when looking for other clippers was lucky enough to find this site- http://www.eternal-archery.de/ and it turns out they still sell it - http://www.eternal-archery.de/us/index.html , you may need to use the Google translation service as for some reason the offer of English only lasts one page, but it's not a lot of help to be honest, still comes across as pretty much nonsense y'know? I have emailed the distributor (thanks Steve  ), a bloke called Toni Biebel and he SEEMS on the level,( maybe you know more about him, G.R.?) and have ordered one so we'll see. I'll Let you blokes know when it gets here.

They must have started back up again as I was pretty sure they closed the doors for awhile there. They are a good chopper for sure.

When I needed some spares some time ago "eternal" were not operating although their web site was going, I managed to get some spares from here after a bit of searching

Hmmm, I'll check out Herbs, too. Toni sent me this yesterday but I have no idea as to the time it was taken but it seems he has a few of 'em (or blades, at least) from this pic.

Be careful guys - the guy that ran Eternal (Eugen) had some 'money' issues and vanished to Thailand. Some dealers where still owed stock. It appears that 'Toni' now employs Eugen in his business making Vario gear. It's taken them 3 months to get a dealer price list to me and I'm sure John (jcm) knows about his too or maybe has more info than me. I'm waiting to see what happens for a little while first.

Yeah, I too appreciate the warning Jason, but I'll still give the man a chance to prove himself.

Ok, to those that read the post I have deleted, I was wrong, please disregard. Seems I must humbly admit I had misjudged the man because the very morning after I had decided I had given him enough time it arrived! He IS on the level and does deliver. I'm a happy Vario owner.

Craig,
Read with interest the posts. Things can get jumbled in translation.
I have a shipment of Varios leaving today.
Looking forward to selling off some stock of Little Choppers to make space for the Varios.
Thanks
Regards
John

Yep, he is the real thing, Jeff. Even included some TOPHAT points and adapters to try out! I have talked to him on the 'phone today and he seems a really nice bloke.
I think you may be right, John, maybe something went haywire in translation, but ALL IS GOOD NOW. :D
This is Toni's site- http://www.bowandarrow.de/ the "Eternal archery" site just takes you there anyway. Check it out, it's worth it.

Hi Moreton,

did you get the Varios from http://www.bowandarrow.de/ or direct from the manufacturer http://www.eternal-archery.de/ ?

bowandarrow seems to have only 3 styles of fletch template available but the supplier seems to have more, I was looking for something like traditional or pope & young.

Cheers

Simon

I got them from Toni Biebel , matey, the bloke that owns/runs BowandArrow. Send him an email bow-bib@t-online.de and have a chat, I know he has more blade shapes than that, he'll even make up a custom blade to your design specs. Otherwise, have a chat to John McDonald (JCM and Amso128 ) as I know he is importing some Varios, maybe he can order in the blade you want? I the little manual, brochure I got with mine there is a list of shapes, and both P&Y and Trad are there. That's about alls I can tell you about that, though, as the bloody thing is in Deutsch! I understood the pictures, though.

It seems Eugen who owned Eternal and was the manufacturer of Vario is now employed by Tony so all should be OK now. About to restock The Longbow Shop as well :)
