Grains, drams, ounces, pounds and grams conversion table

#1 Post by Buford » Thu May 05, 2005 12:44 pm

found a weights conversion web site that has "grains" as an option. Very handy.

I have edited this post to put all the web sites mentioned at the top.

Matt,

Thanks, that is a good one. I have a similar one but it didn't do the all important grams to grains.

Here is my personal favorite. It also does volume, area, speed, distance and lots of other things too.

It also has a turbocharger. Actually no, it doesn't; I just wanted to get one up on Matt. :P

the site you posted is actually easier to navigate.

so anyone interested may want to check out both. (mine first!)

do the same conversion on both sites and see if you get the same answer!

My personal favourite: convert it program

You can download a FREE (cap'ed the 'free' part to attract you do-it-yourselfers) little program. I've used this one for years and it will take care of most, if not all, of your conversion stuff. Doesn't do people though. :D

I've a short cut icon set up on my task bar and just bring it up like the PC calculator- more convenient than finding the web site. ;) Plus it's waaay better than your two sites.

Looks like this:

RC,

Thanks mate. That's actually the one I have on my computer to. I must be going silly (no comment) as I said above it didn't have the grams to grains conversion when it does. :?

I have always usedhttp://convert.french-property.co.uk/index.htm, but I think that yours are better. However, Dave and Buford - I think that Jeff and RC win...

OKAY, I admit it: the downloadable program does seem to be a little better than the website of mine.

Maybe at the Vic high country hunt, but I assume you're not going to be there, with Vancouver being quite a drive from any part of Vic at all! :D
