GLOSSARY UPDATE

Jeff and I have been through the Ozbow Glossary and added a few more of the traditional terms which we have found.

This update includes a list of references from my archery library which we used to verify the terms included in this Glossary.

At his suggestion, I have included the following term which Daryl (Greybeard) pointed out. We have changed the term 'dry fire' to 'dry loose' in reference to loosing a bow without an arrow.

Dry firing of a bow was never a term used in the pre- and early fibreglass era of archery. It seems to have come into use only after the compound bow appeared so far as I can ascertain. Bows were never 'fired' in any case; they were 'loosed' or 'shot' by the archer - hence the inclusion of Daryl's suggestion.
