What Camo design is popular in Aus/NZ??
Was reading the thread Erron started on wearing camo....
I for one believe in camo, not neccessarily the commercial stuff, but the theory behind it..... and yes, the large block checked shirts do act as a camoflage due to breaking up the outline of your body......
I have stalked up on deer and rabbits with my red and black wool mackinmaw back home (during gun season in NY, you have to wear red so the dumbasses wont mistaken you for a critter).... and have hunted coyotes n ducks n geese in total camo....
Currently my favorite is the SA/Rhodesian militaty camo pattern.... BIG blotches.... but due to the clothes obviously shrinking, will need new ones and they is too expensive here in the states anymore, so am thinking of the predator camo pattern here in the US....
But anyhoo....
What patterns are popular down that-a-ways??? Do you have any local patterns (other then the GALAH pattern.....now I definitely am questions the masculinity of Aussie archers... and I thought the floppy hat was bad... and dont get me going on the dresses you wear hunting, almost as bad as those scotty girlies)

Yup.... close enough actually..... the stuff I got has jess a lil bit smaller blotches, a lil bit more tan areas..... but that be the pattern.
worked wonders in the corn fields n the island river edges up north... and fits in pretty good in Central FL too..... It does what camo is spoda do, it breaks up your outline....
thanks tuffcity.... do you use it?

I'm a mixed bag o' camo guy. I have a pair of rain pants in realtree grey a pair of heavy twill pants in trebark 'sniper' and a fleece lined heavy twill pull over jacket in Predator evolution. I usually make my own camo gear- except for rain proof stuff (might try that soon), and used those types because price per yard was very favourable. They seem to work out well for the environments I hunt in.
Here's a B&W pic of evolution on top with realtree grey bottom.
