I have tried the one in the photo below without success. The magnet I am using is quite a bit bigger than the one in the video so I may have to use more copper wire, also the 57 watt Halogen globe that I am using may not be suitable.

I noticed they are using 5 watt led lights and one using a CFC.

Having this type of lighting around the camp site / tent would be a bonus not having a need for batteries.

They would also be useful in the house during night time storm activity if the power supply was interrupted.

The people who make those videos just like spreading bull on the internet. I am not sure what they get out of it, maybe they get a chuckle every time they revisit the page and see the views have gone up??
