Sorry for deleted post. I believe he had received enough punishment already. Just wish to let him go.

Sorry to hear about the problem.
Couple of contacts for the future with getting glass.
1) Ausbow Industries( South Australia)
e mail-sales@ausbow.com.au
2) 3 Rivers(USA)
web-3riversarchery.com

3)This forum. The fellow bow makers may have some glass for sale.

Sorry to see you got stung Siewho, I have seen the threads across the forums and your story sounds like the scam he pulled on many.
Thanks for warning everyone. Steve

Morning All

Hmm.... Rubbish, pure rubbish.

My opinion:

If you want glass and only a few strips then John Clark in SA is excellent and unless you are wanting a lot of glass is ideal. Plus he has lams, etc.

If you want a lot of glass then Binghams in the US is excellent but you need to buy enough to offset the additional postage cost.

(Both Clarks and Binghams use Gordon Glass.)

If you want lots and lots of glass Bearpaw sell it in 100 metre rolls - but I have no knowledge of its quality.

I saw that thread Siewho and I'm sorry you got caught. :x Sadly similar has happened in Australia in the past and that is why I order most my bow making supplies (glass and glue etc) from overseas.

Hi Ivorycollector Maybe you can put a warning post on the Tradgang site in the US as the moderators on that site seem to have little tolerance for people ripping of trad archers.you might get some justice.

Generally I get my glass from Ausbow or Bingham. However I was attracted (so I thought) to the verneered glass...a big mistake. I bulk buy now from reputable dealers only.

Sorry you got burned mate. But thanks for the heads up.

Looking at the photos from the stickbow site I'd have to say I'm amazed that he even sent a bow (if that is what it could be called). I don't the situation could have been any worse if the bowyer had just taken the money and returned nothing.

Even more hilarious was the suggestion that the purchaser might feel inclinded to send another $100 after recieving the bow..a delusional personality if ever there was one.

He certainly is a strange fellow, he is pulling the same scam on alot of people regarding the glass and sending out garbage and then requesting postage for more.
There has to be somthing wrong up stairs. Steve

Morning All

Seems other are having issues. Read the note in Red at the beginning if the topic and the thread has been locked.
