newby here, just saying hi!

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

newby here, just saying hi!

#1 Post by slvrslngr » Sun Nov 08, 2009 11:23 am

This is my first post here and wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris and I'm am American currently residing in Japan. I've been shooting trad for 11 years or so but am a recovering rifle hunter and occasionally fall off the wagon, LOL! I've been blessed with a wonderful wife who puts up with my habit and is about 1000 times smarter than me :mrgreen: . She was lucky enough to get a job in Perth and we will be moving there in June, maybe April. We visited Perth this past July and I was lucky enough to hook up with another trad shooter while there, who took me out for a few days of goat hunting, which was awesome! We're looking forward to getting "down under" and living there for a few years. Hopefully I can meet a few of you all and share a campfire in the outback. Take care and shoot straight!

I read about your WA hunt; I hope you have many more adventures out there. Welcome to Ozbow! :D
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Welcome to this great forum, the trad guys are a nice bunch. Bit of a change coming from Japan to Perth, I'm sure you'll enjoy living there and the big, wide open spaces of WA.

Cheers,
Steve.

Thanks for the warm welcome, gents! :D

After living in one of the most densely populated areas in the world, I am soooo looking forward to getting out in the wide open spaces!
