New bow on it's way

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

New bow on it's way

#1 Post by jaselpool » Mon Jul 13, 2009 10:57 pm

Hi all - as some of you might know I'm a target archer from UK. I've just pressed the button on a present for my 40th... a brand new English Longbow built by UK bowyer Keith Raynor. It's going to have the following: Osage belly, Wenge accent, Purpleheart core, Wenge accent and a Bamboo back. It will have horsehead shaped nocks, brass arrow plate and full brown leather handle with a black/white flemish twist string.

I shoot an ELB now but I'm getting more and more into 100 yard shoots in my new club so need something a little faster.

I'll post piccies as soon as it gets to me (4 weeks and counting!) as I know you lot like your bow pics :D
