Have book will travel!!!

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Have book will travel!!!

#1 Post by Stickbow Hunter » Fri Aug 29, 2008 3:29 pm

G’day Everyone,

This is an idea passed onto me by nimrod (Hugh) over in Scotland. The idea is that a book gets passed onto a member of this site; that person reads the book, writes his name and the date in it and then passes it onto the next member and so on. Please also take care of the book.

Each time the book is ready to be passed on, the person who has it posts in this thread that he is finished with it and whoever wants it makes a post to say just that. The book is then passed onto that person and it is noted on this thread.

Hugh kindly sent me two books for this purpose quite some time ago now and I must apologize profusely to him for not getting this under way a lot sooner – sorry mate and thank you for your generosity.

These two books are as follows:

‘Campfire Reflections’ by TJ Conrads.
Book 1.jpg
Book 1.jpg (38.01 KiB) Viewed 5305 times
Its twenty-three chapters convey real bowhunting adventures in North America with traditional longbows and recurve bows. The traditional bowhunting action includes: small game, birds and lots of big game, with a special section of personal essays about the hunt, friends here and gone and outdoor ruminations. Classic traditional archery and bowhunting from the founder of Traditional Bowhunter Magazine.

I’m sure any Bowhunter will enjoy reading it.

‘The Witchery of Archery’ by Maurice Thompson.
Book 2.jpg
Book 2.jpg (7.08 KiB) Viewed 5305 times
This is one of the all time classic Bowhunting books that was first published back in 1878.

So, who wants these books first? Let me know which one you want and I will get it in the post ASAP.

NOTE: The books must not be passed on without it being documented in this thread as we don’t want them going missing.

Jeff

Yes mate it was a long time ago, sorry it took me so long. Life seems to go by so fast at times. I'm sure a lot of people will enjoy reading these books.

Yes, I watched the films and had a few laughs. Negley had a close call with that lion and some of the commentary on that one wasn't exactly accurate, far from it in fact. :D Thanks once again mate.
