Flood around Sale - pics

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Flood around Sale - pics

#1 Post by gundy » Wed Jul 04, 2007 7:20 pm

Took some photos of the floods which have started to settle down. Access to the beach is still cut off and we have to go 55 minutes out of the way to go there if need be. Normally takes 15 minutes. A lot of people live out that way and rely on Sales services.

The in-laws house was in danger but they came through it okay. Some did not.

I guess it is difficult to imagine what it WAS like if you have not been here, but what you are seeing is way too much water where it SHOULDNT be!

Glad to hear it's starting to get back to some sort of normality around your way.
Bow Hunting is my Passion.

My wife says it's my Obsession.

Either way I'm happy.

Glad the inlaws were ok. I feel for those who were flooded as what a heartache and a big clean up. :(

Guy,

Brings back memories of my childhood in Sale and the floods…

I caught my first trout – a 3.5 pound brown – on the pier that’s under water in that council offices shot!

And as for the Wurruk Hotel, I seem to remember an eventful night in the bar with a couple of bowhunters there, after which I retired to one of the rooms that would have been decidedly wet in that photo!

Thanks for the memories, and glad to hear you and the folks are well despite the water…

Erron
