The Wrong Way, Again!

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

When will the advertising / promotion companies use an archer that can draw a bow.

Some years back one of the big four banks used a young female drawing a three piece target bow with the limbs bolted on back to front for one of their TV promotions.

The bow doesn't look to be a three piece with the limbs bolted on backwards to me but it is strung backwards and she is drawing it backwards. You would think they would check such things. :surprised:

Jeff,

It is obvious that the bow shown in the advertisement for Montague High Archery 2023 is a one piece recurve bow braced backwards.

I apologize if my wording was misleading. The takedown recurve refers to the bow that was used in a banks TV commercial some years back.

The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is no where as important as being able to place it in the correct spot....!

I remember a movie I was watching years ago. It was some sort of survival thing and one of the blokes had a bow. It took me a few minutes to figure it out but it was a recurve strung backwards. I don't remember him actually shooting any arrows. Anyway it suddenly went back to the right way on the next shot. I don't think I watched the entire movie either. :twocents-mytwocents:

I note that the Gladiator series which channel 10 is very heavily advertising every single ad break, shows one of their 'gladiators' with a bow strung backwards. Its cringe worthy to look at.

Commercial T V stations tend to overly promote their garbage shows.
I find local radio stations are a better alternative.
