Taking Bows to Norfolk Island

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Taking Bows to Norfolk Island

#1 Post by Ian Turner » Fri May 03, 2019 4:22 pm

Hi all I am thinking of going to Norfolk Island to attend that big 3D shoot they hold annually.
Has anyone on here been and if so what is the scenario for travelling/flying with one piece bows; longbows in particular.
Also any info on the shoot,. travel accommodation etc would be much appreciated.
Cheers
Ian

geez Ian you've left your run rather late - contact https://www.norfolkislandtravelcentre.c ... mpionships and they will be able to give you info. Not sure at this late stage if you'll still get the discount price. As far as the longbow is concerned it will be probably charged as excess luggage, (well that's what happened last time we went, and why we shoot takedown recurves - they fit in your luggage).
Anyhooo contact re above and they will give you all the correct info you need

cheers
