Queensland kindergarten gives toy gun licences to kids

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

"And you must not stick for a groat or twelvepence more than another man would give, if it be a good bow.
For a good bow twice paid for, is better than an ill bow once broken.

At least the Kindy is aware of the reality's of the Community they Live in and not imposing a Ban on the Kids playing with their Toy Guns. Not enough Parents teaching " consequences now days, I like the lesson on consequence by attaching simple Rules that if Broken lead to a Punishment.

I am still left shaking my head at what the World has come too in comparison to my Childhood where nothing was said or thought of when we rode our Bikes to the Creek to shoot a Mates Air Rifle or rode our Bikes to Archery with our Gear slung on our Backs

Perry I can still remember us being pulled up by the local police in Melrose park at night with a dolphin torch, bows and arrows and air rifle shooting toads.

Police. What you blokes doing?

Us. Shooting toads.

Police. You're local kids hey. Mum and Dad know.

Us. Yeah live in the next street. Over there.

Police. OK, just don't be silly buggers.

Different world alright.

Troy there was another time I was walking the streets shooting Toads with my 60# Hoyt Pro Hunter and a Police Car pulled up, same deal they asked what I was doing and for the next little while they walked around the Block with me Shooting Toads. They could not pull the Bow so as a 15 year old I reckoned that was alright
