Newbie.... good bow or waste of money?? HELP!!!
Hi all.
Just got myself a bow, have no archery or hunting experience at all but figured I'd get into it
Now, ive just got myself a Redzone Assassin pack.... have been told mixed things
Was told to swap out to a Bear.... tried to but the owner of the shop wouldnt let me as "redzone assassin is a far better bow and package"
Is this true or some **** to make a sale and quick buck??
All feedback welcome, thanks in advance

Its a compound, I would suggest you try an archery site that cater for these bows.

as Grey beard said its a compound .This is a traditional forum, but a Bear would be infinitely superior to a Redzone.

Swop it for a recurve or longbow you will have more fun.
may your arrows fly straight and true and your limbs return.

Dose it matter that old mate brought a compound the big difference between bear and red zone is weight it doesn't mater what other people say at least you are having a go but I think you would find a long bow a hell of a lot of fun that should be your next buy

G'day Mattduncan1990, as you're just starting with archery, I would suggest going to an archery club and asking to shoot a couple of different styles of bow. Longbow and recurve and maybe a few other compounds. You might find that you prefer the traditional bow much more. If that's the case, put all your time and effort into that. It's probably no use using a compound for a year or so and then realising you much prefer a longbow.
Just a thought.
