A quick question about the actual forum

A quick question about the actual forum

#1 Post by yeoman » Sat Aug 15, 2015 1:09 pm

To anyone who would/might know:

If I send a PM, and that message sits in my Outbox for ages, has it actually sent? It is pending delivery until such time as I see it in the Sent items?

Hi Dave,

To the best of my knowledge the pm sits in the outbox until the recipent logs on.

Additionally the person [recipent] may not have ticked the box in the user settings to be advised of any pms'.

Daryl.

Lately I've noticed that I have not been advised of pm's or replies to posts.

Dave
The pm is sent, but it doesn't move from the outbox to the sentbox until the recipient has read it.

Daryl, this is either a problem with the smtp server, the forum software, or after a recent update the option on your user profile to be notified of pm's has been set too no
