To Drink Or Not To Drink ???

To Drink Or Not To Drink ???

#1 Post by greybeard » Tue Jul 14, 2015 11:58 am

I purchased one of these when they were first released and from memory cost me about $75.00.

It has been gathering dust at the bottom of my wine / spirit cabinet.

Drink!

A bit of waste having the bottle sitting in the bottom of the cupboard gathering dust. If you drink it now you will be able to say that was a good investment for $75. If you need any more persuasion let me know. I have a million reasons as to why you should drink it, but I don't really have any persuasive reasons as to why you shouldn't. Just my thoughts on the matter.

Ps. Let me know if you need a hand to crack the bottle.

Buy an empty Bottle, and fill it with Captain Morgans and take that to Wisemans for Grant  sell the good one and renew your Insurance for your flashy new Sports Car :auto-crash:

Tough Choice Daryl, Invest for a rainy day

Daryl,

You could let it mature a little longer. Will that increase the value even more, so then when you do open it your original investment will have increased even further.
On the other hand if it is sitting in the bottom of the cupboard collecting dust, open it share the contents with your friends, put the bottle back in the bottom of the cupboard and when you find it in years to come on your next annual clean up with even more dust, you can say - well that was a damn good drop.

cheers

Daryl, in my opinion not drinking that rum would be akin to buying a new bow and never shooting it, especially if it is hiding in the cupboard and not at least on display. I reckon you deserve to be drinking $1500/bottle rum that cost you a lot less. Go ahead and enjoy it, even better if you get to share it with good friends.

Cheers... Rod
