Christmas break bow shed build along

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Christmas break bow shed build along

#1 Post by rodlonq » Mon Dec 16, 2013 12:47 pm

The boys have finished school and uni for the year so it is time to take a bit of sweat out of them to keep them off the xbox as much as possible  I took a week off work last week to get started and we will resume again next week when the lads return from a week of work laying turf (I am back at work too :surprised: ).

We set about building the floor of what is going to be our new BBQ area, outdoor gym, room for the forge and anvil and bow/arrow building shade when required (8.5 x 6 m shed). Never having done paving before, a lot of time was spent procrastinating over methods etc. but we got there in the end.

The channel and grate drainage is under the drip line of the shed roof. This saves putting in a gutter and I like watching the curtain of water running off the roof when it is raining  .

Let's hope we get the shed up before Christmas Eve as my good wife has planned a family get together and I will be embarrassed if it is not finished  .

Lookin' great mate. You can send the lads down here when you're finished with them as I could use a hand to do some paving. I look forward to seeing the finished job.
