any port in a storm

hi i just picked up my new port barrel this morning been dreaming about having a big barrel for my port for a long time. :biggrin: this one is 50 litres yes thats right 50 litres hehehe . i have 3 other barrels but the biggest is 14 litres and when you drink it like i do there needs to be plenty ageing to rotate through , i know i will have plenty of friends just calling in now but thats what the port is for :lol: gazza.

i think jeffro is too far for a port, i,m hopeing to buy the port on the trip to victoria to fill the barrel roadie,here is a pic of big daddy and a 5 litre barrel :lol:

and gazza how much port are you expecting to come home with after the trip.... :lol:

I'm sure Perry wouldn't mind nursing it on the way down, as long as he can sample it to make sure it's travelling ok...... :lol:

Shrek calls me Sir Portalot, I read this thread, Perry sampling this, Perry drinking that - Perry sounds like an old Soak but I aint the one with the 50 litre Barrel Gazza :lol:

Seriously Folks the ONLY time I ever have a drink is if Gary drops over or share a Bottle at a Trad Shoot or if Dad's "Still" is Cooking, or if I visit someone or if .........................

I worked at a mine once where a foreman and another guy bought between them a 44 gal [200l] drum of plonk at a time.This guy often came to work looking like Norman Gunston, from trying to shave Have fun Gazza and Perry, 'cause I can get into enough trouble with a mere cask of red.

Hey Roadie,

with any luck we will be on site when they arrive and we can watch Perry and the cask rolling around..... :lol: and then the show off setting up camp - I think it's swags on the ground, so they won't have to fall too far.... :lol:

oh it's gunna be a lllooonng weekend...... and sooo much fun. :biggrin:

Reminds me of back in the day when two mates and I bought a hogshead (57 imperial gallons) of port. Lasted us about a year -we had help though!

Tis true me calls Perry Sir Perry Of Portalot but you young Gazza will be known as Sir Penno of Barrelonia which is a small area just west of Soakadeamia.
