Some Quality time

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Some Quality time

#1 Post by memo » Sun Jan 13, 2013 8:07 pm

Hey Fellas,
On Thursday it was my eldest son's 6th birthday, and when asked what he wanted to do for the day his reply was "Go to the Bowmans Club and shoot my bow with Dad".
I'd organised the day off work so we went out first thing before it got too hot and let rip a few arrows. Here's a few pics, I was pretty happy with his shooting - Hope you enjoy them one tenth as much as I do.

Hey Memo

Absolutely fantastic stuff.

I can't think of anything better and looking forward to this very thin.

BTW mate, that looks like a great little bow. What is it if you don't mind my asking?

Looking for one for my 4 1/2 year old.

Cheers

Top stuff! Good onya mate, he'll be telling his own kids about it, while shooting with them hopefully, one day!
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Cheers for the replies fellas,
Chase'n - the bow is a ST Joe River longbow I got it through Tradgang. He got stung by postage to here, so I don't know if he has sorted out something for cheaper postage now. You might have to get in contact and ask. Here is his website for the kids bows

The bow is a ripper and he loves it.

Thanks Memo,

I have had a look at his website and he makes some sweet little bows.

I will drop him a line and see what the go is.

Cheers

Cripes, your boys form is looking great. Rock solid! by the time he's 25 he may just turn into an archery great!
To fire one lonesome arrow,
At thou's only beating heart.
To pierce thy flesh,
to kill this beast.
Tis the hunters sacred art.

Troy, a pm with any info would be great, the boy will be needing a real bow soon and these look sweet!
