Deer and trout in Yosemite

#1 Post by looseplucker » Tue Jul 03, 2012 2:52 pm

Gday

Having a hoot in the US. Currently in Nevada. They are all armed. Saw nice trout in a river in Yosemite and a lovely mule deer so close even Hazard could have got it with his poly pipe. Beaut landscape. Lovely for a scenic hunt.

What is wrong with being armed? I have two arms plus a waggonload of firesticks, bows and swords.
as others would say, pictures?
enjoy.

dudes. Now in Twin Falls Idaho. Stopped at a rest station en route and there was a creek that most of us could have spat across. Salmon Falls creek near the Nevada/Idaho border. And just FULL of trout. Lotsa little buggas but some bigger chaps down deep.

Off to Yellowstone in the morning.

Pictures when I work out this bastard iPad.

Bought a couple of knives though. Another buck 110 and a Winchester Bowie. The stuff they have here that the fun police have banned in Oz......enough to make you weep.

Although at least we have a good attitude toward a beer.

Will mail you all from Yellowstone.

Yep Piggy. We went to a Sequoia Grove. Senbloodysational. Saw one that must have been 10 foot in diameter. Just gorgeous. Then I thanked the Lord that these trees were not in Tasmania. Gunns would have woodchipped 'em by now and sold em to the Japs for dunny roll.

You must be behaving yourself the news hasn't shown any streaking incidents  Have you done your duty to advertise the horrific danger of 'Drop Bears" in Australia??

Keeping a low profile. The "ocker" oi oi oi Aussie thing has worn off in the US. A few were at it in Hawai'i and it was downright embarrassing. Just spent July 4 in West Yellowstone Montana and watched the parade and had a great time. No drunken ar$jehats in flags just good clean family fun.

Off to see an old geyser tomorrow. Probably with a bunch of old geezers..
