The biggest "BOWHO"

Hard to go past Guy Layton for the title of Mr NSW but I am sure there are more like him out there  . Didn't Hardgainer spend a fortune on a Gold plated Bear bow a while back? I reckon he is in the running for Mr Australia  .
I have 12 bows ATM but they dont count as I have made most of them  . Steve

I only have the Gringa I won in Bludog's auction last year  . The others are home made composite bows, a straight longbow and a mild D/R longbow. However I do have plans on the drawing board for a semi-recurve, a recurve, a self bow, a bamboo backed board bow, a flatbow, an ELB....... :surprised: So many bows and so little time... But they wont count; Steve said so

As far as SWMBO is concerned, after gearing up the workshop as much as I have, I'll never buy another bow as long as I live  Cheers...... Rod

Three Steve longbows, one blackwidow take down longbow, three ELBs, three horsebows. I really use one most of the time.......most of these are for displaying at Ironfest......

plus four olympic recurves, four wheelie bows, a number of bows that I use for beginners low poundage wheelies, recurves and longbows about ten from memory......I help a couple of community groups run archery as an activity at annual camps where the adults and the kids have a go.

I am glad you did not ask about how many longarms.
Really glad you never asked about the number of dozens of arrows laying around here.

One of my friends is a member of the Archery Antiquarian Society he has hundreds of bows and other bibs and bobs and many are extremely old. He also has ancient arrow points. I think he and his mates win any state or national titles.

I have only just started in this hobby/sport and I already have 4, although two are on their way from the states but still bought four. Not bad for 6wks or so :)

I got rid of all my bows bar one and am happy to report I'm not craving any new ones.

25 year old Hoyt compound, Martin cougar compound, Martin Razor x compound, and three straight laid longbows I made myself. Plans for several different self made bows in the works, as it is an all consuming addiction.

Perhaps we need to start a thread of "Show us your Target Bows"

Have you ever noticed how nicely many target bows shoot when they are fed wood arrow with feathers??

Howdy Grahame. Its a Impala, first of the 'hatchet' cams, which are shaped a bit triangular, 30% let off and 70lb. Wouldn't shoot it now if I could as it has steel cables with teardrops and one is a bit suss.

My students used-to keep count...

Let's see...

One Schafer Silvertip recurve.
One Black Widow recurve.
One Shrew recurve.
One Martin Hunter recurve.
Two old Bear recurves (a 1956 Kodiak Special - I think - and a 1969 Kodiak Hunter that has killed a grizzly).
One old Damon Howatt recurve (finished by Geoff Arnold's late brother in the 1950s) - a piece of history.
One little Ragim Ranger recurve for teaching kids.
Two little Black Rhino longbows for teaching kids.
One of those little no-name red fibreglass bows with the yellow plastic handle for teaching kids.
Three Howard Hill longbows.

Oh, dear... and there's a little something in the works.
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.
