A promise kept..(FINALLY)

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

I'd be willing to bet that's Hairy Oak..and I'm no gambler!
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Thanks guys yes it is hairy oak to match the timber in the bow.It is hand forged from a piece of steel from an old saw mill blade and takes a very nice edge.I have not used this wood before as I have been a bit suss on it after a bit dried out in the shed and started to crack along the darker lines but this seems to be fine.I hope it serves well.

What a beauty Kim, I am looking forward to using it to process the first kill for the awesome LB Rod 55 longbow that it was built to match. Thank you.

BTW mate, thats a lowercase Q for "Queensland" at the end of my alias, I only have long bows

Cheers......... Rod
