Well, here is the evidence

Well, here is the evidence

On a hunting trip before last, the game was in short supply. Someone was heard to say: "Goats dont grow on trees".

Really? Scroll down.

yep the photo is just as amazing as when I saw them do it many years ago on a property I was staying on.
They just keep climbing. The funniest part was there was a small kid (as in goat not human) who couldn't quite get there, and kept sliding back down the trunk.
Kept Steve and I amused for quite some time.

cheers

Amazing picture. Goats are extremely nimble footed. I have vivid memories from when I was a child of watching a domestic goat walking around and around a ringbarked gumtree. It was actually walking with its hooves on the shallow ringbark cut itself. That was incredible enough, but the really memorable thing for me though, was it would stop every now and then and turn around. Yep, it could change directions. To do it, it would balance on its forelegs, lifting its backlegs up into the air, next to the trunk of the tree and then it would put them down on the other side of its body. Showoff goat!
There is no use focusing on aiming if you don't execute the shot well enough to hit what your are aiming at.

First thought was this was photoshopped but after reading your Stories Fella's

Talking of how Nimble Goats are - early 1980's, a Bowhunting Mate of mine got his first Bow Kill, a Goat that was feeding along on it's front Knees - in fact it bounded down a Cliff Face on it's Knees after he shot it :surprised: :surprised: :?: At the time we believed it must have broken it's Front Legs as a Kid and they healed with the Goats Hooves in front of it's Chest. There was 3" Callous's on it's Knee's, a most amazing Animal. I've since learned it's a genetic disorder where the Tendons in the Goats front Legs are Short and pull the lower Legs up into their chests
