Stikbow Hunter Announcement
Hi all. Just letting you all know that after a lot of consideration over the last few months I have decided that the Nov_Dec 2011 issue of Stikbow Hunter will be its last.
Unfortunately it has grown considerably harder and harder to get enough content to put out each issue and fulfill my obligations to not only my readers but also advertisers. This situation has caused the publishing of Stikbow Hunter to become somewhat more of a job rather then the fun it started off to be. That alone tells me it is time to stop.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for the support you have shown both Guy and myself since the magazines inception back in 2008. It was fun and I enjoyed the many many fine contributions we received.
Now I suppose for the little silver lining. As hopefully most of you would know, one of the end of year prizes is a Big Jim's TD Longbow. Originally it was just going to be a 62" 55#@28" model but after talking to Big Jim recently he has generously decided to allow the winner to chose the specs on the bow themselves to get a true custom bow. He will also ad any upgrades to exotic timbers etc but these will be at the winners cost.
On top of the above bow there is still the Doctari Safari hunt in New Zealand up for grabs plus 3D targets from both Trad Bits and Bush Bow 3D targets.
So guys not a lot of time left to get in with a chance to win. So how about it? Lets try to make the last issue a biggin and go out with a bang.
Thanks for reading,
Matt

Very sad to hear the emag will soon be no more, I'm sure we will all miss reading the articles all the writers took the time to compose and all Matt's efforts in providing this emag.

Sorry to hear it Matt.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Matt,
You have done a fine job and I thank you kindly.
You put your best foot forward and contributed to Archery in Australia in a way that some might envy and some might be inspired to copy even though it is hard work.
You've shown me quite a few new bows to lust after as well, especially the Big Jim and the Modern Trad stuff. Let's face it. Bernadini risers and Border Hex5 limbs are pure archery porn.
I look forward to seeing what you pop up with next and chatting with you.
Onya mate.

I am an Archer. I am not a traditional archer, bowhunter, compound shooter or target archer.....I am an Archer

Thanks Guys. It as also very remiss of me to forget to mention the great businesses including OZ BOW that supported the magazine through the years both from here and abroad. These businesses are truely fine people to deal with. So please take a moment next to you are looking to purchase something and consider one of these businesses.

If only I had something to write about - which is why I have enjoyed your magazine so much.
All the best Matt and Guy, and thank you for a great emag.
