Well, you can probably guess by now that I'm into the medieval scene.
On 29th and 30th October Canberra will be hosting its third Medieval Tournament and Fair. Being only the thrid year this has run, the event isn't huge, but there is a lot going on. There will be full contact jousting, foot combats of all sorts, vendors peddling their wares (that means selling, there won't be people on bicycles) and all manner of crafts.
I'll be there giving demonstrations of 15th century German martial arts, and I'll also be carving out a longbow or two.
If you're in a medieval group nearby, your group might already be involved. If not, I recommend your group tries to get itself involved. The more the merrier. Or in this case, the more the medievaler.
