Rambleings

#1 Post by Gringa Bows » Sat Jul 16, 2011 8:03 pm

Almost lost my wife my grandaughter and a friend thursday night,my wife Jack had just got home from Bris.after spending ten days with our daughter down there, our friend and his wife gave jack a lift home as they were coming home from bris too,we were unloadiong jacks gear out of the jeep of our friends into my ute, when all of a sudden a young P.plate driver delivering pizza's plowed into the back of the jeep pushing it forward on a bit of an angle into my ute i was standing against the ute, jack and Ian our friend were standing between the two cars,Ians car smashed him into my ute as he tried to dive out of the way ,then the pajero the young bloke was driving hit jack in the left leg and knocked her down some how my 10 yr old grandaughter ended up under one of the 4x4's but crawled out with just a fat lip and a few bruises ,anyway long story short, they let Jack out in the easrly hours of yesterday morning, shes on very strong pain killers but still in agony if she tries to walk,my grandaughter Ebony is a bit sore,Ian our friend is in hospital with a busted pelvis ,being sent to brisbane tomorrow, but it could have been a lot worse,if he had hit the jeep square on jack and ian would have copped the full force between the two cars,if he went more left he could have hit my son and daughter and 3 of my other grandkids and Ians wife,if he swerved right he would have got me,the delivery driver said he looked down at his gps to check the address and hit the cars before looking up,made me feel a bit better writing this and shareing it with my friends......i do believe some one up stairs was looking after us that night.............thanks for reading my ramblings.

Holy smoke, Rod! Mate, I'm so glad everyone came out of that alive, it sounds like it was horrific! Thought are with you and yours, Bud, really sorry to hear how badly they got hurt.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Best wishes toward all those involved Rod and a speedy and full recovery. These incidents always illustrate to me just how tenuous our grip on life is, and how it could be gone in a blink. Take care.

Wow
Glad to hear no-one was killed. It sounds like you will have a lot of caring to do over the next couple of weeks. I hope they all recover fully in good time.

I don't like those gps units very much at all. I am sure that as they become ubiquitous we will start to see people getting killed regularly because drivers are watching some little screen instead of where their car is going. :(

All the best to your family for a speedy recovery mate. Even though it seems you didn't get injured it must have nearly frightened the life out of you to see that happen to your family, I wish all the best for yourself too Rod.

Sometimes people don't think of the consequences of their stupid actions. I saw a bloke in the lane beside me with a map on his steering wheel and I am sure he didn't look up for about 30 seconds, I beeped my horn to wake him up.

Cheers...... Rod

I was going to ask something similar, Tony. Tell me, Rod, how did the other bloke come out of it? Not the crash, but the repercussions of upsetting you like that, matey!

How's Jac today?
