TBGA ???

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

I dont think it was aimed at TBGA. I think they were, as the US say, Collateral Damage.

They've caught one of the Lulzsec clowns in Britain. Hopefully they put some smart hounds onto his computer systems to find his acomplices.

I hope that ozbow has a backup/DR plan. It's one third of Australia's archery triumvirate, the other two need to rebuild :(

John, I'd say the Lulzsec boy will be working for the CIA in no time flat!

Such cynicism in one so young, Tom! :P :) I'd bet your right on the money, though! He'll probably end up being The Director in a few years.
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

Most likely he will be jailed. The person who published the exploit that he used could get the job.

The sad thing is a lot of the people that execute these attacks are what we call in the industry "script kiddes" - that is they use the "smarts" of someone else not code the attacks themselves.

Even sadder is, given the state of backups in Direct.IT, the attack could have probably beeen easily thawted by following simple best practise security policies.

The former TBGA is up again, as I understand it all the posts were lost so it's a blank canvas to be built upon, hopefully in time it will be another great Aussie bowhunting site.
It also has a new name
