Looks good mate. Not that I have ever hunted them, but I never thought of them being mounted as a trophy 8) Looks great.

Shooters get to 50m to shoot, but only a hunter gets inside 20m to hunt.

Was it difficult to get all those feathers back to Australian customs?

So to mount it, Piggy, do you skin the bird and just practice normal taxidermy, or mount each feather individually in oasis, like flower arranging? ( yep, did it as part of a hospitality course I was sent on in the '80s :D )

The parsons nose ( for want of a better word) which is the tail of the turkey was removed from the bird, the bird was then skinned and the internals removed.
We ate the Turkey which was cooked on the BBQ, tasted great by the way.
The tail feathers were treated and sent to me, there was a small amount of meat still on keeping the tail feathers complete. I soaked this meat section in water for 24hrs in a small bucket then fanned the tail out to how it looked best and pinned it in place.
I then used hot melt glue to stick the feathers in place to each other then removed all the remaining meat and hot melted them some more.
