what a day

what a day

#1 Post by looseplucker » Sat Apr 09, 2011 9:25 pm

We are at Jervis Bay. Took William for his first ever snorkel session. Nice little bay beach that is no fishing (I am pro Marine Park btw). Well there were schools of luderick, bream, whiting. Then more coloured reef fish and a stingray!. If you think a 10 year old cannot shout 'awesome' thru a snorkel you are mistaken. We went for another dive in the arvo. Now William is not a daring fella. But we went about 100m off the point. He had a boogie board attached so he could rest but spent most of his time snorkelling. It was great for me. Reminded me of many dives with my brother up to 30 years ago.

Also Miss Charlotte (5) caught her first wave on the boogie. Giggling like a mad chimp she goes careering into the shore. 'Do it again!" she yells.

Some things a dollar just can't buy.

Now, there's some memories worth bottling! Sounds like a great holiday matey, I can't think of a better way to spend a beautiful Saturday. Something tells me this will be one of those things you'll reminisce on with your wife after the kids have grown and left home. :D
Lately, if life were treating me any better, I'd be suspicious of it's motives!

And just back from dolphin spotting and saw a bandicoot being released.
