A real steal!

#1 Post by yeoman » Tue Aug 31, 2004 9:33 am

Get on to some book site like amazon.com on the web and search for a book called "Turkish archery and the composite bow" by Paul Klopsteg. Pretty expensive, huh :?: :!:

I just picked it up for $2.95USD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Exchange rates and shipping brought the cost up to about $20, but that's still 10% of most other prices I've seen!

Sorry, but I'm really excited about this, coz I've been after this book for years, and now it's heading my way. :D :D :D :D :D

The only other place that you could get this book that I've found for under a hundred bucks is http://museum.man.ac.uk/collections/arc ... yorder.htm

Nice work - nothing beats that feeling of making a score - well ok maybe taking a trophy class (insert animal and species of your choice here). I bought two volumes of the Trad Bowyers Bible when I was in the US at a discount book store for like $5 each. They were the only archery books in the whole place. I think Buford still has them?

I got an email from the bookseller today.

"The book you ordered is unavailable, and your money will be refunded."

Noooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah well, I'll have to save up a bit more money and get a new copy from England.

What a shame, I was getting all excited.

Sue them. Mental anguish and stress.
Just kidding ... but that's a huge bummer, mate. My condolences...
