My main interest is in Australian Broadheads and their History.
I currently have a register of fifty one Amateur and Professional Broadhead manufactures.
So I am very interested in finding out as to how many Bowhunters have designed, built and are hunting with their own Broadheads.
We know of a number of bowhunters that have turned a passion into a profession in advancing and building their designed Broadhead.
Here is a small list of some of the old team that built a broadhead or two.
Huntsman by Alan Strachun, Shooting Star by Alan Woodward, Blackstump by Steve Carruthers, Davies by Allen Davies, Barry Johnson heads, Doug's Drop'ems by Doug Dupille, RibTec by Col Groaham, and the Col Weatherstone head.
These are just a very small number of past Broadhead makers.
There are a lot of up and coming new heads out there these days. So good on them for having a go.
But there must be others that have had a go at designing and building a broadhead that not everyone has seen.
For I have a small number in my collection that have been well made BUT don't have a name or any information as to WHO built them.
So come on I would like to see what you have designed, built and used during your hunting trips out in the bush.
If you don't wish to say or tell your story here, please send me an email at meekwg@southernphone.com.au
Or text or phone me on 0458084493, I would very much like to hear about your head and its story.
But please don't forget to show some pictures or a drawing of your head.
Ok, thanks. Bill
