Hi all, getting back into archery

General discussions. Politics, scuttlebutt, whatever: you're getting married, changing jobs, got a gripe or a compliment, dying to get out with the bow etc.....

Hi all, getting back into archery

#1 Post by bluewillow » Tue Dec 20, 2011 3:18 pm

Just stumbled across this site so I registered, 20 odd years ago I used to hunt quite a bit with a recurve and I managed to make a longbow that worked  , got married moved to the city and I have hardly touched my bows since.

This year the wife and I were thinking about a new sport for the family and with Christmas just around the corner I suggested we try out archery, so the Good wife, my two boys and daughter are all signing up with our local club and getting new Bows for christmas (although I may wait and get a traditional Hungarian!!!!) and buying a jig so we can make our own arrows!

The boys and my nephews are planning a hunting, fishing and camping trip at Glen Innes for the Christmas school holidays so looking forward to it!

cheers

Welcome Matt

It sorta gets hold of you once you get back to it. Good to see more archers in the NSW Southern Tablelands. Sounds like the Goulburn ABA club is starting to expand.
