#1 Post by Tuffcity » Fri Nov 28, 2003 3:35 am

And not for the tinned stuff either! :D I've got a couple of albacores in the freezer and am looking for one or two (or 3 or 4) receipes for putting a tuna steak on the BBQ or any other interestign ways to do it up.

"ways to bbq tuna 101"

the best way i have come up with to put a tuna steak on the bbq is as follows:-
step 1-thaw tuna
step 2- preheat bbq
step 2- put tuna on bbq
step 4- while sippin on a bottle o' sudds say somethin' like "Yeah.... thats some nice bbq-in'"

step 5- say "Buford, your a smart ass bastard!"

sorry. couldn't help myself

cheers

Richard, this link is good for a lot of game recipes:

http://www.bowhunting.net/susieq/

This is an example:
Glazed Yellowfin Tuna
2 yellowfin tuna steaks
1/2 soy sauce
1/2 brown sugar
1/8 tsp. ginger
1/8 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. curry powder

Glaze in sauce pan add all ingredients & bring to a boil, let boil while preparing tuna, in grilled fry pan add 1 tbs. of oil on high heat sear & fry tuna approx. 4 min 1st side 3 2nd side
Use care not to break steak while flipping
Then add glaze & continue to flip tuna steaks in the glaze sauce until well coated.
Serve with rice or stuffed red peppers see non meat recipe
Enjoy Stump Jumper
Hope this helps,

Erron
