A recipe Adam knows and remembers well, I know I do; my first venison.
Ingredients:
2 x 1 and a half inch think fallow venison steaks
1/2 onion
1 tablespoon butter
Method:
dice onion
wrap all ingredients in al-foil
cook for approx 6 - 8 hrs in low heat wood fired oven
unwrap and eat with fork (no knife needed ) mmmmm
