It's no longer a shearer, but I'm sure it will work as good as it looks, 8) with all that labour of love put into building it :) Now don't loose it..........Bill

Well-done!
It's the great, big, broad land 'way up yonder,
It's the forests where silence has lease;
It's the beauty that thrills me with wonder,
It's the stillness that fills me with peace.

Mate sensational work it will mean a lot to you for a very long time I am sure.It is a VERY time consuming task working with steel that you dont want to effect the temper of the steel.Now I anneal and re-heattreat as it works out faster.That piece has real charm I love it.
Cheers KIM

thanks guys.

kim, i don't have the means to anneal and retemper at present. but i do have a lot of projects going on at once so i have plenty to do while waiting for the metal to cool.

rod, not sure where to get them from. maybe old farm auctions or something. old antique shops perhaps. or just ask around. it's good steel, i love it.

That is a very very cool looking knife. And I just love workhorse ugly/beautiful gear.
