Knife Sheath

#1 Post by stringnstik » Mon Dec 21, 2009 7:06 am

My first attempt at a knife sheath. Made it for a mate.
Many thanks to Steven J and others for some pointers.

Was an interesting project, getting the things to fit snug, stiff and yet supple in other areas.
Wanted a "used" look.
Nice thick welt to protect blade and stitching. I couldnt help myself and added a simple stag head to match the Puma knifes handle.

I still find the stitching to be the hardest to master. Getting it the same all the way around.

Coated in a beeswax mix for waterproofing.

A job well done, it fits, it forms, it functions and it looks good, so you can't do no wrong with that.
